Performers

Do you live to be on stage?  Then we want to know you.  Marin Summer Theater is looking for 50 to 60 student performers (actors, singers and dancers) between the ages of 13 and 23 to make up the 2010 company.  Performers can audition in person or via recorded submission.

Marin Summer Theater is a 7 week program.  We rehearse from June 14 to Sunday August 1.  Rehearsal times are 6pm to 9pm Monday thru Friday, and Sundays from 1pm to 5pm.

Company members will also be required for weekend performances on July 10, 11, 24, 25, and on July 31 and August 2.  All rehearsals and performances will be at San Marin High School, 15 San Marin Drive, Novato, CA.

Performers do not need to be in every show, but applicants are encouraged to be in as many as possible.  Applicants that are unable to attend the entire program because of conflicts may still apply.

For performers, acceptance in the program is subject to audition and payment of a tuition fee of $325.  Performer Auditions will be held on March 27^th, 2010.  Applications unable to audition in person can submit a recorded audition via email or DVD.  Tuition will not be required from accepted performers until April 15, 2010.

On March 20, from 1pm to 3pm, a free pre-audition workshop will be held at San Marin High School for students interested in applying as a Performer.  During the workshop students will learn about the shows being produced and the audition process.  In addition, students will be taught a song, a dance and a monologue that can be used in their audition if they wish.  The workshop is optional and it is not required that students attend.
